Arunima Kapoor was born in Delhi, India. Arunima has received her BFA from Delhi College of Arts, New Delhi and masters from Jiwaji University, Gwalior. Capturing the simple beauty of woman, her work necessarily dealt with all woman issues in the present society. She uses thick heavy paint in the pointillism technique that gives dynamic texture to her work, attracting attention towards the semi-abstract figure of woman and flowers. Her recent works has become more experimental. By using red, green and blue, Arunima moves her figures in a lyrical poetic realism which is both romantic and contemporary. She has exhibited her work across the country and abroad. Apart from this, she has participated in several National workshops and art camps.
